Product Description
| The Xperia X10i from Sony Ericsson is the first phone from the company to run the Google Android OS platform (V1.6 at launch with future upgrade to V2.1). It is a quad-band GSM and tri-band W-CDMA touchscreen phone, with pan and zoom features using the dual purpose side key (which seconds as the volume adjust key). The Xperia X10i comes preloaded with 8GB of microSD memory and can be expanded up to 16GB. The phone has a full QWERTY keyboard, auto rotate, Bluetooth, WiFi, and aGPS. Sony Ericsson also introduces their TimeScape application which allows the user to access social network accounts from Twitter, Facebook, and email using just one application. The 8.1MP camera features smile detection and face recognition, as well as photo tagging. The Xperia X10i’s music player has TrackID, Album art, and Play Now.
The phone is a slender 13.75mm thick and is less than 120mm in length. The 3.6V, 1500mAh, Li-polymer battery reportedly delivers up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 425 hours standby in W-CDMA mode.
