Product Description

Apple's popular flash-based music player once again received makeovers inside and out in the third-generation iPod Nano. The product was launched September 5, 2007, almost one year to the day after the second-generation design was released in 2006. Still in the middle of the overall iPod lineup, the Gen3 Nano comes now in only 4GB and 8GB capacities versus 2/4/8GB capacities for the Gen2 family. About 1,000 and 2,000 songs are implied for the two alternatives respectively, but the addition of video playback for the Gen3 Nano means that user memory usage could be more mixed.

This type of report is provided to TechInsights licensees as a supplementary report; it does not substitute for our commitment to provide full teardown reports to the channels.
