Product Description

Positioned somewhere between a mini-tablet and a smartphone, the Dell Streak, running the Android 1.6 OS, is a quad-band GSM and W-CDMA handset with a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display and capacitive touch button navigation pad. Corning’s scratch resistant, highly durable Gorilla® Glass protects the display, which can be viewed both in landscape and portrait views. There is an embedded 2 GB microSD memory card (not user accessible) plus a microSD slot providing expandable memory up to 32 GB. A 5.1 MP camera is located on the back of the product, while a second VGA camera is mounted on the front for video calls. The VGA camera has its own ambient light sensor for taking photos, while a second ambient light / proximity combination is used to determine when the user is holding the product next to their face. The Streak supports WiFi, Bluetooth, FM radio, e-compass, GPS, and text/MMS/email messaging, along with instant messaging (IM) and quick access to social-networking Web-sites. Dell has not listed any battery life specifications for the 3.7 V, 1530 mAh Li-Polymer battery.
