Product Description

The iPAQ 510 from HP's 500 series blends smartphone technology with Windows Mobile 6 in a compact bar-style cell phone. What makes this quad-band GSM phone stand out is its excellent Voice Commander program. The voice capabilities not only allow you to make phone calls, but also send and receive e-mails and text messages, play music, and use other voice-activated functions. You can also compose audible e-mails and send them as attached audio files. The iPAQ is powered by a 3.7V/1100mAh Li-ion battery that gives a reported 6.5 hours of talk time and 188 hours of standby time. The iPAQ 510 has a TFT-LCD color display (176 x 220 pixels; 65,000 colors) with a 2.0" diagonal viewable image size. The rear-mounted 1.3MP CMOS camera provides still images as well as video capture (QCIF resolution). Other features include WiFi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth, VoIP, Windows Media Player 10, Internet Explorer, Outlook/Office Mobile, and a microSD card slot. Despite the lack of a touchscreen and larger keyboard, the Voice Commander program should provide an enjoyable hands-free alternative for tackling everyday tasks.
