Product DescriptionExtending the crowd of LTE 4G “data dongles”, Huawei released the world’s first 2G/3G/LTE modem - the E398, capable of operating on GSM, W-CDMA, and of course, LTE bands. With a press release at the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Huawei displayed the E398 modem, identifying Qualcomm’s MDM9200 chipset for the triple-mode processor. The E398 has been initially released in Sweden, operating on Net4Mobility’s shared LTE/GSM mobile network. The E398 operates on the 2600MHz band for LTE. At the time of this writing, specs were scarce for the E398, identifying only the mobile networks and the operating systems the modem would operate on.
