Product DescriptionThe first handset to bring Sky TV to Vodafone customers, the LG KU950 combines GSM/GPRS, W-CDMA with HSDPA, and DVB-H for Sky TV. The 262,144-color, 2.4-inch display pivots clockwise to reveal a full keypad, TV function buttons, and a VGA camera for video calls. As seen in the photos at left, the image on the display rotates according to the position of the display. With the display in portrait mode, a fully functional navigation keypad can be used to access all available functions, except for video calling and TV viewing. The KU950 comes equipped with a second 1.3MP camera on the back of the phone for taking still pictures. A microSD memory card can be inserted into the phone so that users don’t consume the phone’s 50MB internal memory for photo storage. Other notable features include Bluetooth v1.1 with A2DP, a music player for MP3/AAC++/3GP/MPEG4 formats, a document viewer, a WAP 2.0/xHTML browser, SMS, EMS, MMS, and e-mail. The handset supports creation of ring-tones and wallpaper, or users can select from a library of 72 polyphonic ring tones and pre-loaded wallpaper patterns provided by Vodafone. LG does not make clear claims for the 3.7V, 950mAh, Li-polymer battery, but the KU950 appears to have a talk time of 4 hours and standby time of 100 hours.
