Product DescriptionThe LG VX8300 is a dual band CDMA2000 terminal with EV-DO data support. The “V” indicates the association with carrier Verizon Wireless. The phone comes with a 1.3MP camera for still image and video capturing and features a clamshell design with dual displays and a stub antenna. The internal TFT display is capable of rendering 262,144 colors on 220 x 176 pixels. The external display is a 96 x 96 pixel OLED with 65,536 color support. The VX8300 has a music player built in for MP3 and WMA file formats, however the ever-present Verizon locks are in place. The dual speakers provide stereo playback once the tracks are loaded into the handset via web-based downloads or the MicroSD card available for storage expansion. The unit supports Bluetooth for headsets, file sharing, and stereo headsets for music playback. An array of user tools are loaded for use as well. The VX8300’s 3.7V, 1100mAh, Li-ion battery is reported to deliver up to 3.8 hours of talk time and up to 380 hours of standby time.
