The A1200 has a 2MP camera for both still pictures and video capture. In video mode the camera can be used to scan business cards directly in to the phonebook. The display is a 2.4-inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixel) TFT touch-screen with 262K colors. For data transfers, the A1200 utilizes Class 10 GPRS, Bluetooth, or the USB port. The A1200 provides 8MB of internal, user accessible memory, which can be expanded to up to 0.5GB via a TransFlash memory card. For entertainment the phone has a FM Stereo Radio and a music player that supports MP3, WAV, AMR, WMA, AAC, and AAC+ music files. The hardware controls include: a 5-way joystick, volume controls, camera button, voice recognition dialing button, and a "smart menu" key for controlling the basic functions with the cover closed. Additional features include: handwriting and speech recognition, an Opera web browser, Picsel's software for viewing Microsoft Office and other document formats, a RealOne multimedia player, a IM & SMS/MMS client, a call log, a calendar, a task/file manager, a notepad, an alarm, POP/IMAP/SMTP email clients, a world time clock, a calculator, and PC Sync.
