The C138 appears to be part of a family of products based on the low-cost C114 platform intended for this market segment. The Motorola C138 offers a simple user interface with a long claimed talk time (8 hours) and design preferences of emerging markets. The dual-band GSM handset provides Short Message Service, 24 ring tones, speed dialing, voicemail, vibrator alert, calculator, currency converter, and alarm clock. The handset comes with a lithium-ion battery and charger.
