Product Description

The KRZR is Motorola's update to the wildly successful RAZR family and is available in both GSM and CDMA versions. The GSM model, analyzed in this report, supports GPRS/EDGE for data transmission. The GSM KRZR is slightly narrower than the RAZR V3m, and has a hardened-glass front face while retaining the clamshell form factor. The handset's slim profile conceals an internal antenna. Other features include: a 2-Megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom, MPEG4 video capture and playback, an integrated music player, dual displays, stereo BluetoothTM, a mini-USB connector, a Micro-SD memory card slot, speaker-independent voice recognition, pre-installed games, a WAP 2.0 Web browser, airplane mode, push-to-talk (PTT), hands-free operation, e-mail, iTap predictive text entry, and the typical PIM functions. The main display is a TFT/TFD 262,144-color LCD with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. The CSTN external display has a resolution of 96 x 80 pixels. The power source, a Motorola Model BC50 Li-Ion rechargeable battery, is rated at 3.7V/750mAh. Motorola claims a talk time of 5.83 hours and a standby time of 300 hours. The unit weighs 101.3 grams with the battery. The dimensions are 102.9 x 42.4 x 16.6mm, which makes it slightly thicker than the RAZR V3m.
