Product Description The Nikon D5000 is an upper-entry-level DSLR with many of the same features as the more costly Nikon D90. The camera kit includes the camera body with a 12.3-megapixel CMOS sensor and an interchangeable AF-S DX 18-55mm Nikkor lens. One of the main features of the D5000 is support for live viewing and a 2.7” monitor that tilts and swivels 180° for shooting at various angles where framing through the eye-level pentamirror viewfinder is not possible. Other features include 720p HD movie capacity @ 24fps, popup flash, 19 scene modes, 11-point AF system, active D-lighting, high-performance shutter, and in-camera editing. The D5000 also features an automatic dust-removal mechanism for cleaning the sensor each time the camera is turned on.
