Product Description

Nokia extends its reach deeper into emerging markets with the Nokia 1325 CDMA 850Mhz phone. As with most low-end phones, the 1325 is a single-band, no-frills candy-bar style phone that supports text messaging and includes several preloaded JAVA-based games. It also offers a choice of wallpapers, backgrounds, and ringtones. The user interface consists of a 1.35-inch CSTN display, a basic set of navigation keys, and an alphanumeric (plus Hindi text characters on the version examined here) keypad. One notable difference is the choice of UIM, the CDMA equivalent of a SIM card, which allows for a more seamless upgrade to higher-end phones and potentially enables carriers to feature the international roaming capabilities available to the UIM platform. The 1325 also has a small speaker, separate from the earpiece, that provides the hands-free capability that is absent from many low-end phones. With 3.5 hours talk time and 156 hours standby claimed, this 70-gram package handily meets the basic requirements of the “Talk ‘n Text" market segment.
