Product DescriptionThe Nokia 1600, now available in the US for use with Net10’s pay-as-you-go service, is a candy-bar handset that was initially introduced into the low-cost market in the 2nd quarter of 2005. It has Nokia’s “Xpress-on”™ interchangeable decorative panels and a plastic enclosure with a quality feel, appealing to users in the low-end market. The display is CSTN (27.6 x 21.7 mm), capable of 64K colors. The display has an adjustable color background with 21 wallpaper themes. The Nokia 1600 includes a clock that can be made to speak the time when the user presses the asterisk (*) key in standby mode. The phone comes equipped with 28 preinstalled polyphonic ringtones, without the ability for additional downloads, and provides a vibrating call alert. Internal memory can store up to 60 text messages and 200 entries in the built-in addressbook. The 1600 also comes with a ringtone composer, calculator, unit converter, countdown timer, stop watch, and three preinstalled games. Available languages are English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Nokia reports the 3.7V / 900mAh Li-ion battery provides 5½ hours of talk time and 450 hours in standby mode; recharging takes about 1½ hours.
