|  Palm & carrier O2 teamed up in October 2009 to bring the Pre P100UEU to Europeans and 3G-UMTS networks. Like its CDMA sibling, the P100UEU employs Palm’s webOS™ platform and “Palm Synergy” software to bring a multi-tasking environment to a smartphone. This technology allows a single view of information from a variety of sources simultaneously, such as; multiple email accounts, calendars, web, etc. As with the CDMA version, the Pre is a slider form phone equipped with a 3.0MP camera with extended depth of field, LED flash & a large self-portrait mirror. The full QWERTY keypad is still present (available when the slider is up), as is the 3.1 inch LTPS TFT-LCD overlaid with a capacitive touch-screen. The EU version comes with 8GB of internal memory, and while there is a SIM card, there is no memory expansion capability on board. It does have Bluetooth®2.1 + EDR and support for stereo Bluetooth®. Wi-Fi 802.11b/g provides wireless data transfer, or you can use the USB port. A-GPS is also available. This model came with a USB cable, two plug adaptors, stereo earphones, and a protective carrying case. |
