Product DescriptionThe Samsung Epic 4G slider, released in Q3 2010, is one of many handsets in the company’s Galaxy series. The device has a 4-in. Super AMOLED display with 480 X 800 resolution (16 million colors). Overlaying the display is a capacitive touchscreen with multitouch capabilities. Situated above the display is a teleconferencing camera. Sliding open the phone reveals the full QWERTY keyboard, while mounted on the back of the device is a 5 MP camera with flash and the capability to capture still photos and 720p HD video. Other features include 4G WiMAX with a top download speed of 12 Mbps, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS. Exterior connectors include a headset jack and micro USB port with a sliding protective door. The device uses a Samsung 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 “Hummingbird” processor and the Android 2.1 operating system.
