Product Description

This Samsung handset, the “PP9000”, is an interesting accessory to Samsung’s P9000 UMPC (additional Portelligent report). We were unable to find a specific model number or a detailed specification for it. We identified it as the PP9000 because that is what is molded into the phone’s enclosures. The P9000 UMPC provides wireless Internet access, using Mobile WiBRO connectivity (WiMax in U.S.) and CDMA2000 1xEV-DO. The PP9000 is wirelessly connected to the P9000 via Bluetooth. The entire package (computer and phone) is billed as a “Multimedia Convergence Terminal” and is a featured part of Samsung’s Mobile Intelligent Terminal (MIT) family of devices.
