Product DescriptionWith the Katana (“katana” is the traditional sword of the Japanese samurai), Sanyo presents a sleek, feature-rich phone marketed to emphasize its Asian origins. Both the main display, a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT-LCD with 320 x 240 pixel resolution, and the external display, a 1.0-inch TFT-LCD with 96 x 64 pixel resolution, enable 65,536 colors. Additionally, with Sprint PCS Vision®, pictures can be transmitted to participating retailers for printing. There are USB/charger and mono-headset jack ports. The handset handles wireless data via 1xRTT technology; the micro-browser is WAP2.0 compliant. The Katana supports SMS text messaging, Sprint Instant Messaging (IM), and e-mail. Additional features include voice-activated dialing, caller ID, voice memo, vibrate mode, an alarm, a calculator, and a calendar. Users can also download games, JAVATM applications (J2ME & MIDP 2.0), 72-chord polyphonic ring tones, and screensavers.
