Sony PSP-3001XMS
Handheld Game / Media Player with WiFi

Full Product Teardown Report

Product Description In a relatively minor redesign effort, Sony brought the PSP-3001XMS to market in Q4 2008. The unit retains the essential look and functionality of 2007's PSP-2001 "Slim", including the 4.3", 480x272 pixel TFT-LCD display. A built-in microphone was added. The gaming and music experience remains centered on Sony's UMD media disc format, along with WiFi and Memory Stick options similar to those seen in the previous product generation. Audio is supported by built-in stereo speakers and an external headphone jack, while a TV-out jack provides a connection to larger viewing formats. The "Limited Edition Entertainment Pack" examined in this report includes two UMD media titles.
