Product DescriptionNokia continues to grow their line of “N” series phones with the N81 which was released on October 22, 2007. With 8GB of internal flash memory, the N81 is targeted directly to the media-minded enthusiast. Nokia calls the N81 a “multimedia computer.” Features include FM Stereo radio, digital music playback, dual cameras (a CIF in front and a 2MP on the back, which allow for still photos or MPEG-4 video recording), Bluetooth, and WiFi. With a subscription, podcasting is available. Dual keypads are also featured in this N-series slider phone. The front keypad is for media purposes. A second alphanumeric keypad is visible once the slide function is used. Available cellular phone operating frequencies are WCDMA 2100MHz + GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, which the N81 automatically switches among based on the user’s location. The N81 reported on here weighs 138.7 grams, including the battery. Nokia reports that the 3.7V, 1050mAh, Li-Polymer battery delivers a talk time of up to 4 hours GSM and 3 hours WCDMA with a standby time of 408 hours.
