Product Description The Nextel cT1000 wireless network card utilizes Flarion’s OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology to deliver wireless broadband. The claim is that the cT1000 can support an average download data rate of around 1.5 Mbits with burst speeds of 3Mbps for users in a standard, PCS-sized cell site, while using only 1.25 MHz of spectrum. The cT1000 purports averages of 375Kbps upload speed with burst upload data rates to 750Kbps. Currently Nextel is in the trial period for the cT1000 and service is only available in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina.
